Lava Launches SHARK 2 5G Smartphone

New Delhi, May 26: Lava International Limited, India’s homegrown smartphone brand, today launched the SHARK 2 5G, built to deliver an elevated smartphone experience in the budget 5G segment. Creating a benchmark with a 6000mAh battery in the budget segment, SHARK 2 5G  will be available across Lava retail outlets starting 10th June.

The highest selling series from Lava’s 2025 portfolio, the new smartphone is built to meet the evolving needs of conscious and practical tech-enthusiasts. Designed to elevate the budget 5G experience in only Rs. 11,999, Shark 2 5G will be available in two colour variants – Sonar Gold and Arya Blue.

The smartphone boasts a large 17.13cm (6.75”) HD+ Display with 120Hz refresh rate, offering 815 minutes (13 hours 35 minutes) of YouTube playback and up to 743 minutes (12 hours 23 minutes) of screen-on time, ensuring reliable all-day performance and a smooth viewing experience for users streaming content on-the-go. Built for reliability, the device comes with IP64 Dust and Water Resistance, protecting it against the rigors of everyday usage.

Available in a 4GB+64GB variant with up to 4GB of additional virtual RAM, the device is powered by the Octa-core 6nm UNISOC T8200 Processor, the latest SHARK 2 5G smartphone is aimed at delivering responsive and efficient everyday performance. Backed by an AnTuTu 11 benchmark score of over 500,000, the device is designed to handle multitasking, entertainment, and daily smartphone usage with ease. To ensure users stay connected through work and travel, the device features a massive 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

Running on Clean Android 16, the SHARK 2 5G offers bloatware-free and ad-free user experience. For photography, it features a 13MP AI Rear Camera and a 5MP Selfie Camera. The device supports major Indian 5G bands, ensuring seamless connectivity across the country.
