Mumbai, India May 19: Amazon MX Player, India’s leading free, premium, ad-supported video streaming service, continues to captivate audiences with Vimal Khanna, the gripping survival thriller inspired by the iconic literary universe created by celebrated author Surendra Mohan Pathak. Bringing the emotionally layered Vimal to life, Sunny Hinduja recently opened up about the personal moments that helped him connect deeply with the character, while also expressing immense admiration for Pathak’s enduring legacy and visionary storytelling.

Reflecting on his emotional connection with Vimal Khanna, Sunny shared, “I don’t think there was one particular moment where I became Vimal, but during the course of filming, his situations and his connection with family really resonated with me. Especially the scenes involving the loss of his brother and mother, those moments felt very heavy and personal. What also connected me deeply with Vimal was his resilience. Despite everything he goes through, he still stands tall with integrity and stays true to himself. Shooting with my close friend Krishna Singh Bisht also made some moments feel very natural and personal.”

He further adds his admiration for Surendra Mohan Pathak’s timeless storytelling, “Unfortunately, I couldn’t meet Surendra Mohan Pathak in person due to time constraints. But through our producer, Piyush Gupta, I learned a lot about his mindset and brilliance as a writer. The worlds and characters he created were truly ahead of their time, and it’s incredible how relevant they still feel today. The love people across the country have for him is honestly mind-blowing. He is truly a cult writer.”

An iconic universe, this gripping survival thriller boasts a stellar cast featuring  Sunny Hinduja, Isha Talwar, and Tara Alisha Berry. Vimal Khanna is now streaming for free exclusively on Amazon MX Player, available across mobile devices, Connected TVs, the Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, Jio TV, and Airtel Xstream.
