DOU Presents ‘Rustica’ A Celebration of Spain’s Coastal and Inland Eating Traditions

DOU invites guests to embark on a culinary journey through Spain with Rustica, a specially curated two-week food festival that celebrates the country’s rich coastal and inland eating traditions. Inspired by the warmth of Spanish homes and bustling taverns, Rustica brings together rustic flavours, communal dining, and the timeless joy of sharing food around the table at DOU, Alwarpet and Nungambakkam, Chennai till July 31st 2026.

 

More than just a Spanish food festival, Rustica captures the essence of sobremesa—the cherished Spanish tradition of lingering over a meal, enjoying meaningful conversations long after the last bite.

 

The specially crafted menu showcases an array of classic Spanish favourites designed for communal dining. Guests can indulge in signature dishes such as Gambas al Ajillo, succulent prawns cooked in fragrant garlic-infused olive oil; the iconic Basque-style Txuleta, a beautifully grilled steak that embodies Spain’s celebrated grilling traditions and the timeless dessert Crema Catalana, offering a delightful finish to the dining experience.
