Mumbai, 23 December 2024: Jasudben ML School celebrated its Founders’ Week 2024, bringing the school community together to honour the enduring principles of community and education—the cornerstone values upheld by its founders. JML, which carries a legacy of interdisciplinary education, was one of the first schools to implement NEP-2020, blending traditional systems with contemporary techniques aiming for the holistic development of students. This year’s celebration, which started on December 18th and went on until December 23rd, featured exhibitions, engaging activities, and demonstrated creativity and learning, encouraging learners to develop a penchant for extracurricular activities.
JML’s 2024 Founders’ Week was a truly unforgettable experience for students, parents, and teachers, featuring thematic showcases beautifully aligned with the vision of NEP-2020. The themes focused on the systems around us including the human body, administration, and education among others. It further featured interactive learning exhibitions, and cultural activities designed to highlight the students’ talents and hard work.
The week-long Founder’s Day was a reflection of how the school has strengthened its roots in the realm of education and accomplished innovation in its learning systems by seamlessly incorporating AI and investing in technology. It has strengthened its learning pedology over the years, which is evident through its students’ achievements in education and extra-curricular alike including the recent athletic wins by its students.
The signature event of the series of events was C’est La Vie, a cherished tradition at the JML School for over a decade. The C’est La Vie is an in-house festival organized by and for the students of Grades IX to XII and NIOS. C’est La Vie 2024 transformed the school into a lively hub of creativity and expression through student-driven activities, including games, performances, and interactive experiences, showcasing the students’ talent, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Other key attractions included thematic displays by pre-primary and primary students on “Dive into Learning” and “Save Blue, Go Green,” emphasizing environmental consciousness and creative exploration. Middle and senior school students presented their club activity projects, highlighting the need for experiential and interdisciplinary learning.
Students also showcased the initiatives and activities undertaken by the clubs throughout the year. These included the Vocational Club, Ubuntu Club, The Socials Club, The Scrabble Club, School Band, Sanskriti Club, Quiz Club, Public Club, Photography Club, Nature Club, Movie Appreciation Club, Financial Literacy Club, Debate Club, Dance Club, Coding Club, Astronomy Club, and Book Lovers Club, each highlighting their unique work done and achievements.
The school’s illustrious alumni include Namit Malhotra (Founder, Exec, Chairman, Global CEO – Prime Focus Limited, Chairman and CEO of DNEG), Satyen Kothari (CEO/Chairman & Founder of Cube Wealth & Citrus Pay), Neel Bhatt (Actor), Aishwarya Dongre ( IPS Officer), Amit Talreja (Team Manager Mumbai Indians), Suhva Raha (Energy Policy Advisor), Ritija Bhatt Khade ( National Swimmer) among others.
The Principal of Jasudben ML School, Mrs. Damayanti Bhattacharya, reflecting on the success of the event, shared, “Every year, Founders’ Week serves as a meaningful reminder of the core values our school stands for. Adding a unique entrepreneurial touch to the celebration, The Bazaar transformed into a vibrant marketplace showcasing an array of products, including chocolates, clothing, delectable treats, bags, handmade crafts, healing solutions, paintings, and accessories, among others—all created by parents and students. This initiative provided entrepreneurial parents a platform to display their talents, fostered a sense of community, and supported local businesses. It also offered students a hands-on opportunity to learn about running businesses and the importance of community collaboration.
