Bareilly, September 18, 2026: Invertis University marked the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with a grand diya lighting programme at its campus in Bareilly, bringing together over 1,000 students, faculty members and university representatives for the occasion. Led by Dr. Umesh Gautam, Mayor of Bareilly and Chancellor of Invertis University, the university illuminated 10,000 diyas arranged to form the words ‘Ashirvad Ka Diya’, creating a striking visual installation across the campus. Dr. Gautam joined students, faculty members and university representatives in lighting the diyas and leading the programme.
The initiative was organised as part of the month long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, being observed from September 17 to October 17 through a series of programmes and activities centred around public service and participation. ‘Ashirvad Ka Diya’ marked the first programme in the series at Invertis University, bringing the university community together on the opening day of the campaign and on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from across the university community, with students and faculty collectively arranging and lighting thousands of diyas. The scale of the installation, combined with participation from the university community, turned the campus into a vibrant visual spectacle as thousands of lamps illuminated the university premises.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Umesh Gautam, Mayor of Bareilly and Chancellor of Invertis University, said, “Today, our students and faculty have come together to extend their wishes to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. Through ‘Ashirvad Ka Diya’, we pray for his good health and long life. Seeing so many young students come together and participate in this initiative makes the occasion even more meaningful.”
The programme also reflected the spirit of collective participation, with students playing an active role in bringing the large scale installation to life. From arranging the diyas to participating in the lighting ceremony, the university community came together for an evening that combined celebration with the larger message of service and collective responsibility associated with the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
With 10,000 illuminated diyas and participation from over 1,000 students, faculty members and university representatives, ‘Ashirvad Ka Diya’ transformed the Invertis University campus into a large visual spectacle. The programme marked the beginning of the university’s participation in the month long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which will continue until October 17, 2026, through a series of activities and programmes.
