Aster Medcity’s ASTER NUTRICON ’24 Conference Discusses Advances in Brain Health and Nutrition Care

Kochi, November 17, 2024 – The Department of Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics at Aster Medcity, Kochi, hosted ASTER NUTRICON ’24, a two-day conference on “NEURO SPARK: Igniting Brain Health and Nutrition.” Held on November 16th and 17th, this event brought together experts and attendees to explore the latest advancements in neurology, highlighting the convergence of medical and nutritional therapies for the effective management of neurological disorders. Dr. Nalanda Jayadev, CEO Aster Medcity inaugurated the event. 

This year’s ASTER NUTRICON offered a comprehensive lineup of sessions and workshops aimed at enhancing knowledge on critical topics in neurological nutrition and care. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in a workshop on the keto diet tailored for epileptic patients, as well as a hands-on workshop on managing dysphagia. Other key sessions covered Neuro Nutrition across the lifecycle, the role of micronutrients in brain health, pediatric critical care nutrition, and specialized diets for mental health management. The agenda also delved into essential areas such as the gut-brain connection, adult neuro critical care, and the integration of neuro-rehabilitation with clinical dietitian practices. 

Aster Medcity’s dedicated Clinical Nutrition team, led by Ms. Susan Itty, Chief Clinical Nutritionist, alongside Senior Clinical Dietician and supervisor Rehana Rajan M., Senior Clinical Dietician Niby Alphonsa, Senior Clinical Dietician Ancy V. J., Senoir Clinical Dietician Tina John, and Senior Clinical Dietician Rinta Roy was behind in organizing this insightful conference.
